This 1/48 scale model, built by Peter Rob, is based on a 1981 Monogram kit bought on ebay, modified with an F-100C conversion kit by Cutting Edge Modelworks-- Meteor Productions. The natural aluminum skin is a mix of BareMetail Foil Co. aluminum and chrome sheets, plus regular (kitchen) aluminum foil applied with Microscale Micro Metal Foil Adhesive. The decals are by Cutting Edge Modelworks-- Meteor Productions. This model, based on the aircraft flown by Col. G. Laven, Jr. at George AFB in 1957, was completed in November, 2001, after 60.3 hours' worth of work spaced over a four-month period. Additional information provided by Pete Felts: 54-2076 went to the Turkish AF and I believe they junked it in 1973.
