Comment by Duane Clawson: SM on the tail and the green checkerboard on the top of the fin indicates the 308 TFS, sometime during October, 1968 to September, 1970, at Tuy Hoa AB where it was assigned during that time. Comment by Joe Vincent: This photo is of Don Schmenk's Hun, SM 580. I think it was taken by his wingman on his final combat mission, but he can confirm the info. Comment by Don Schmenk: The photo in question was taken by Larry Farmer (RIP). It was NOT my fini flight.
