This 1/48-scale model of the F-100D shows the paint scheme based on a photo taken by Dave Menard. Dave's comment: " I took the photo from her right side in the spring of 1960 when she landed at Hahn Air Base, West Germany and parked right outside my shop. A main tire needed changing, so I had time to go to the barracks to pick up some cameras. The three colors on the fin were the same as the 49th TFW a/c. By that time, no more squadron colors, but wing colors, as AFM 66-1 had come in, just like at Hahn. We hated it!"
