My aircraft (744) loaded and waiting for a tow to the alert hangar. (Note by Peter Rob: a search for "744" yields multiple results, including 56-3744 and 55-3744. The former is an F-100F model, while the latter is an F-100D model.) Note by Larry Brushface: 55-3744 served with the 131 MA ANG. Storage August, 1979, FE 583, Mojave drone conversion May, 1985 as QF 211, Tyndall. Not shot down, assume aircraft crashed on 20 March, 1987.

You can see the tail number 53774 in this picture, which yields the serial number 55-3744. The first digit of the six-digit serial number indicates the decade of the production year -- in this case, "5" to indicate the 5th decade. The second digit in the six-digit serial number indicates the year. Therefore, the leading "55" of the full six-digit serial number indicates the 1955 production year. The full serial number is typically not indicated in aircraft carrying the paint scheme you see in this photo.)

I'm not sure about the aircraft, but I think it's 55-3744. The aircraft is heading for the trim pad.
