This photo of me in front of 56-3073 was taken sometime in 1967-68 at Phan Rang, South Vietnam. The cockpit frame has the name of Capt. Garrity on it -- we flew whatever plane was assigned to us, so the cockpit frame name and the pilot flying the airplane didn't necessarily match. Side note by Peter Rob: When I wrote the original photo caption, I misspelled Captain Garrity's last name. Frank Garrity happened to read the caption and sent the following correction: By the way, the information below one of Harold (Hal) Beasley’s Phan Rang pictures is good. However, that is my F-100 (073) and the correct name is "Garrity" not "Garrett". This aircraft (56-3073) was blown up in a rocket attack sometime in 1968. Hal was my wingman off the pad that day.
