Note by Peter Rob: Larry ("Brushface") caught an identification error, so the photo identification as 56-3884 is now correct as shown here. (The ID was originally shown as 56-3864.) Larry pays attention to even the smallest details, so many thanks to him for catching the proper ID on the nose gear door! Note from Larry Brushface: I think one of the Miller photos (56-3864 48TFW) was misidentified. If you look closely at the nose gear door, it says 884, not 864. LS denotes the 493TFS at Lakenheath’s 48TFW. In short, the picture originally shown as 56-3864 should be listed as 56-3884. 56-3884 went to Turkey in April, 1972, from Lakenheath under the MAT give-away program. The Turks crashed it on 26 November, 1974. By the way, 56-3864 crashed on 27 September, 1961, 31TFW, George AFB, California. Both pilots ejected.
